I have been passionate about walking all my life, climbing the mountains and walking long distance trails throughout the UK as well as some trips to Europe. I have also enjoyed running, but always used to feel that I wasn’t achieving my potential as a runner. Chi Running has been part of a mind-shift for me. I have always believed in mind, body, spirit links and now I have found a mindfulness based approach to running, this ‘ties together’ what I have always believed – that the body needs to the mental, emotional and even the spiritual elements to be aligned in order to perform as it is supposed to.
I have been sharing my enthusiasm for the outdoors for over 20 years, since I organised an 80 mile walk for myself and a group of friends when I was 17. I am convinced that helping other people move freely in a relaxed and injury free way will be not just a way of earning money, but a passion. I am so excited to find a teaching philosophy that is compatible with my own and can’t wait for the opportunity to be involved in the global movement that is Chi Running and Walking.
